No, I am not an experienced politician, however, for the past several years I have spent much of my spare time devoted to making a positive impact in my community by:
- Organizing events to bring compassion and supports to homeless neighbours.
- Collecting donated art supplies and teaching "Learning English through Arts & Crafts" classes to the immigrant and refugee community.
- Advocating for safe, inclusive schools for LGBT youth and their families.
You cannot get much more political than poverty and human rights.
Putting my name forward is not about playing the game of politics, it is about representing those in the Township of Langley that feel their voice is not being heard by Council. It is about being a part of a Team that should always put people first and consider the long-term implications of each and every decision.
